Dr Malhan By

Here's Kim new hip device.

We just got thru meeting Dr. Malhan. Truth is we've been meeting people since we arrived about noon. The floor we are on is just for International patients. The building is obviously not new but it has been refurbished with everything new and up to date. There's marble floors, flourescent light bulbs in place of the regular kind, color tv & dvd player, computer with hs internet, (i'm blogging from), mini-fridge, tea/coffee/juice, bottled water, and construction going on right outside. What else could you ask for? Wockhardt is building a brand new wing right next door, kinda like at home, and we're gonna make a contribution!

I digress, Dr Malhan came by for his first visit. Very personable we both thought. He answered all our questions plus a few more. He's ready to go ahead with the first surgery on Monday and the plan is to do the other 5-7 days later. The good news is that he feels good about resurfacing both hips. We were concerned that she might not be a candidate for the resurfacing but that's the plan. We are certainly thankful for that. He also has opted for the Durom hip instead of the Birmingham device. He explained it all to us and its complicated but he thinks its a better solution for Kim. It also has a longer record of study over the Birmingham. Hope that means its better all the way around. God is just making a way in all this. For our church family, we'll miss being with you on Sunday. We'll probably just stay in the hospital here, rest, and get ready for Monday. We're excited, relieved, and just about to meet a guy from the States that's going home today. He had one hip replaced just a few days ago. Oh, I think that's him at the door! Gotta go. Go Sooners & Ganders & Texans!
