My turn at the blog!!

Greetings blog readers from Mumbai!! Dave has had the keyboard for two weeks on this blog, now it is my turn. First of all, thank you all more than words can describe, for the constant readings and posts. It is the highlight of my day to see how many have read and responded to the blog. I have truly been covered with prayer and the Spirit which I feel on a daily basis. There would be no other way to make. Dave has been wonderful! Keeps me smiling and showing up with a variety of goodies. Today, as we say goodbye to Thursday, has been another great day. Not without muscle soreness and discomfort but not even near the chart to what I have endured over the last year. If this is hard, bring it on!

Tomorrow, however, may be my turn to post again. Dave is having a complete and I do mean complete physical, they call it "health check." He is in the bathroom as I write attempting to shave his chest, ouch! lol He hasn't yelled yet, so I am staying right here at the computer. I will keep you posted on his day.
Please keep praying. Moving forward but am needing more internal strength each day.
Love to all,
ke and de

Kim,

I heard about your surgery in India from Paul and others. I had just read a big article about this whole "medical tourism" thing. It sounds like it is really going "great guns." A little scary, I know, but it sounds like yours has turned out to be wonderful. I am happy that you are doing so well. Keep up the good recovery. I remember from my own hip surgery after the wreck and the subsequent replacement in 2003, that following the rehab exercise regimen is so important. I remember there was pain in those leg lifts, but, you can do it. Hurry home soon.

Aren't men babies?!! You've had 2 major surgeries w/in a week and he's whinning about shaving his chest?! PLEASE!

Kim,
It is so good to hear from you. David's done a great job keeping us up on your progress, but hearing your own words, knowing you don't feel the "old" pain, is wonderful. God is SO Good!

I equally have enjoyed all the posts and pics David sends. Bill asked the other day if all I do is stay on the computer and read David's blog. I said, "pretty much!" Well, that's not true, but it does seem like I'm always checking it when he passes by the computer.

Well, this is the "coming home" month! Countdown is in effect. About 2.5 weeks, right? I'm sure you're not ticking off the days! Ha!

Callie was "Dorfee" (as in the Wizard of Oz) for Halloween last night...now that she's thru with her red slippers, I should send them your way so you can click your heels together and say "There's no place home!" and you and Toto can get back here where you belong!!

Love and prayers,
Jane

KIM,
Isn't it great to be living in such a technological world. It makes India seem much closer. I'm so glad your doing well. You look great on the video. I'm so glad to hear that the pain from surgery is not as bad as the pain you've had in the past year. I was very worried about you after we left Atlanta. I could tell you were having a very hard time. I'll bet your rehab is not much worse than climbing those stairs to airplanes over and over every week. You're one tough lady! I thank the Lord for your progress and will keep praying for that complete recovery.
Love you,
Tammy

Kim, It's so good to see you on the videos and now to "hear a word" directly from you! I stand amazed in the magnificent work of our God and the medical staff there in India. Who would have ever guessed that you would have surgery in India - of all places!

Skip and I look forward to seeing you when you get back home and are moving with little to no pain. I was with my mom following her hip surgeries, so I have witnessed the strength, stamina and sheer will it takes to do all of the physical therapy. You can do it, girl!

We're keeping both of you in our prayers and are so thankful for the wonderful progress you have made.

Love to both of you!

Nell and Skip

Kim,
It's good to see and hear you and glad you're in charge of the computer at last. Watching David play while you are working so hard to get back on your feet must be frustrating. He really has been the man about Mumbai. We are so happy that you are doing so well and miss both of you. Our life group had an excellent meeting last Sunday evening even though there was only seven.
During our prayer many thoughts for all the ones desiring and needing prayers were interspersed with our thoughts for your speedy rehabilitation and coming home.
Rebecca and I read the blog every day and sometimes 2 or 3 times wanting to see you and thankful for the marvel of the internet and its positive uses it provides, especially for the last 2 weeks.
Keep on doing it.

Kim,
It's so good to "hear" from you instead of Dave. I was beginning to think I was sitting in church and he was preaching. He's always running overtime, but I guess will excuse him since you were kind of preoccupied.

I pray God will continue to bless you and strengthen you through this recovery time. May each day be better than the day before.

We look forward to hearing more from you in the days to come.

Dave, I know it was tough plucking those couple of hairs out of your chest, but they will grow back.

God's grace and blessings on you both. Hurry Home!!! You both are sorely (no pun intended) missed.

Luv Ya,
Bill R.

Kim,

We are so glad that you are doing well. We have been in constant prayer since Leigh Ann called and said, "Kim Ellis is going to India or Indonesia or one of those countries that starts with an I to have surgery on both of her hips." We continue to pray that rehab goes well and that you will be home soon. You know LTC is early this year...

Dear David and Kim,

Thank you for all the updated news. It is a joy to read you and the way the surgery and the recovery has and is coming through....I know you are in very great hands. And, Kim, you look so well. I am happy you are feeling better. I know it takes time and maybe even pain to recover completely, but surely the pain is not comparable to the pain you had to go through before.

I read you had shared a Diwali meal. Diwali is derived from the Sanskrit word Deepavali - the biggest festival of India which marks the victory of good over evil. While Deepavali is popularly known as the "festival of lights", the most significant esoteric meaning is "the awareness of the inner light". You know there is something beyond the physical body and mind which is just pure, infinite, and eternal - God. Please know you are shining and you are indeed beautiful Kim.

I will try to call you later or maybe tomorrow. Know you both are thought of and prayed for. I am sending lots of love and a biggg hugggggg from Spain.

With love,

Irina
